The secret conversation topics and tips from the man who funded James Simmons of Renaissance Technologies the world’s first HFT shop

I just posted this on my ELite member section of my members:

Technologies the first HFT shop ever

The secret conversation topics and tips from the man who funded James Simmons of Renaissance Technologies the first HFT shop ever

As I am going through my old backup drives, I found this gem!

This happened nearly 5 years ago as in the fall of 2009. This was a person who believed in my passion when I ran an early version of QuantLabs.net called CashForLife.tv These topis was what was covered including technologies and other tips I never heard of at the time. These are still unknown which are most valid today. At the time, I had no idea what they meant but I do now after 5 years looking back.

The truth is thus guy was the real deal. He was LQ but really funded a lot of the early success stories esp. Ren Tech. I was lucky to tlka to him about his own HFT shop where he spilled some tasty topic.

Hi there

Starting today is my second promotion of 2013 but I will call this a very soft launch. Over the coming weeks, I am loading current content into a new section on the QuantLabs.net site. Any current and NEW QuantLabs..net Premium Member will be able to get FREE access to this. It will be worth at least $500 or even $600 on an annual basis. I will be setting a FUTURE cut off date of this offer sometime soon but still needs to be determined. When that happens, I will be separating both section for different access. So for now, jump on this offer to get access to both for FREE
–> GET IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO THESE TOPICS <–
This new section is basically a series of courses that is better organized with videos and sample source for building strategies, models, and even algorithms for HFT needs. An entire set of lists has been posted for my Premium members  which currently exists.  It totals nearly 200 topics! These samples are built in Matlab and  R with some source code samples with Matlab Simulink models code generated  to C or C++. It is easily the most exciting stuff I have ever done!

More HFT topics posted on Event and Stat Arbitrage, trading microstructure and tick data usage

More HFT topics posted on Event and Stat Arbitrage, trading microstructure and tick data usage

Hi there,

On Monday I laid out the first 4 major lessons you’ll learn from
from my hot-off-the-presses HFT course. Those 4 key points were just
the beginning.

So let me explain the intermediary portion where we really delve
into the aspects of making money with High Frequency Trading.

1. Working With Tick Data

Massage the market data like an expert: Each tick of the market is
like a note in a very complex concerto. You’ll need to be comfortable
with managing this data efficiently to ensure your algorithms are in
tune with your profit objectives.

2. Trading On Market Micro Structure

Why do you need a market microscope? Trading on the market’s
micro-structure is a critical HFT skill. I’ll help you understand
what’s important and what’s just noise you can ignore.

3. HFT Event Arbitrage

Learn how to hedge market event explosions. This is a critical
skill, as everyone knows markets can move very violently when
unexpected news is released. After completing this section you’ll know
exactly how to profit from this.

4. Statistical Arbitrage In HFT

It’s all a numbers game once you get your edge. Statistical
arbitrage might be a topic that makes most people’s head spin, but
it’s critical to ensure you’ll make money where others fail. I’ll
teach you how to cut right to the critical data you need to know.

Remember, this course incorporates a true open source platform, a
good support community and a strong Matlab connection to facilitate
model/strategy development.
