Personally I am excited to try this out

I tried building them from Github but Xcode generated numerous errors so I abandoned this for now

iOS Chart Features

We are really excited to announce, the result of a year of hard work and effort by our mobile team, that SciChart iOS/Android v2 BETA has been released today!

We are choosing to release today as a ‘BETA’ and invite feedback from our user-base. A full release will be done shortly, once we have polished everything and done final testing and checks.

// SciChart Mobile: A Huge Step Forward
SciChart iOS/Android v2 is a huge step forward in our iOS & Android charts. While our first version of SciChart iOS/Android benchmarked as the fastest Android and fastest iOS charts in the world, they lacked a few critical features that were important to would-be customers and creators of rich mobile charting applications.

Thanks to some brave early adopters, and great feedback from our iOS/Android customers, we have done a lot of work to improve our iOS & Android charts, and bring you Xamarin support in our latest major release, as well as a host of new features and improvements that will make your apps really stand out.

  • Vertical/HorizontalLineAnnotation
  • Inertial Scroll on both platforms.
  • Enhancements and improvements for trading (stock charting) apps.
  • Up to 60 examples for each iOS/Android platform, as well as 20 for Xamarin platform.
  • Maven package manager support for Android, Cocoapods for iOS, NuGet for Xamarin.

SciChart for IOS does not support Apple Mac OS with Swift

SciChart for IOS does not support  Apple Mac OS

In the next few months, I will be attacking a on developing a GUI for this system on Swift for both both Apple Mac OS and iOS. Response from an employee was:

Thank you for replying back to us!
No, we do not support MacOs at the moment.
So the only 2 charting libraries that support both is NChart3d which is $1300. I find this steep since I was not impressed with their library demo which means it could be a waste of money.

The other options is open source project which I deployed with success: https://github.com/danielgindi/Charts
Note: I am hoping to replace my Analytics charting with Swift apps

Why all in for Apple IOS for algo trading app system?

Why all in for Apple IOS for algo trading app system?

Why all in for Apple Swift for algo trading app system?

Note that all of this experimental as I move forward.

It looks like I am all in for Apple’s Swift Open source language. After going through a recently chosen book, I did not realize:

  1. It is compiled with comparable performance to Java and getting close to C
  2. Able to deploy onto desktop (Mac), mobile (Ipad/Iphone), TV, and watch. I envisioned Microsoft would be here by now but nope, they flopped in many ways
  3. Language seems to have syntax like Java C# and even some functional as well
  4. Added extra layers of security via Apple Operating Systems
  5. Open source libraries to help in getting a algo trading system up and running fairly quickly
