Anyone into Stock Pattern search in Image for quant analytics? Need some input or direction to look further into this.

Anyone into Stock Pattern search in Image for quant analytics? Need some input or direction to look further into this.

 

Although I have experience in image processing, I cannot find it as useful or efficient in finding stock patterns. I think, first, you should make clear what patterns you are looking for? Known patterns (such as head and shoulders, triangles, etc)? or unknown (hidden patterns) – something new?

If you are looking for unknown patterns, I would suggest you to start from:

a) Using template grid – template matching – see this article:
