Rust Vs. C++: Comparison of Performance, Speed and Safety

This is a matter of time before Rust could take over as their core libraries mature over C++. This is a classic debate of Rust vs c++ for HFT firms. The real question is if HFT firms will move over from C++ to Rust. You need to remember these legacy HFT firm shops have a very mature and old custom library that cannot be easily be ported over. As a result, C++ will remain for a very long time, just like COBOL. I see newer trading firms will most likely choose Rust over C++ one day. These are just my opinions.
