Before I set out and experiment with this unknown Oanda API, I started questioning how to implement order management from within Matlab. As usual, there was a solid answer:
As you read this, this new Matlab Trader toolbox only deals with professional services including Interactive Brokers. If i choose this path, it will save me some big pain and time. It will mean I also have to put $10k at risk top open an IB account. Decisions decisions. So let me entertain the IB path. As I dug, this is what I found:
UPDATES: This works within Matlab but when you extend out by deploying into a Java package, the build fails. The .NET will be packaged but does not run with execution orders to IB TWS. For whatever reason, I am not going to tinker with this. I cannot be bothered to test in Linux either. I guess it is back to Oanda.
