Why do human resources and start ups whine about a shortage of ‘qualified’ C++ or Java software engineer? I know a bunch looking with this example
I just talked to a recent graduate out of premiere US university. He studied Computer Science with a slant on C++ and Java. He is also a Toronto local with perfect English. Can some lame human resource person please explain to me why you are spreading deceitful information about the shortage of qualified software engineers? He looked for a job for over 4 months to finally get one. He said most recruiters and companies want ‘experienced’ people. Why do you lie as he seemed perfect for any entry level job? Why do you lie to reporters about shortages of software engineers? Why do you lie to politicians? Seriously, I went through this frustration years which I was why I am now self employed.
You are all like crooked car sales men.
P.S. This guy did get a job in some financial software business with Java entry level job.
Here is a conversation on reddit.com which pretty well inspired me tostart thinking about blending my knowledge of technology and financial investment. This was pretty inspiring where an indie software engineer launched his own business. He claims he is claiming over $800,000 a year with his system he build. His only current limitation is his ability scale up on capital. You should read as it is very inspiring for developers wanting to make money.
I used to work as a software engineer and started developing and trading automated strategies in my spare time in 2006. I went full time in 2007 and have been profitable every quarter since. AMAA
Edit: I’ve gotten a few personal requests for mentoring. I’m not really in the business of teaching, but if you have some kind of prowess whether it be computer science, math, stats, I can teach you a few things, if you teach me a few things.
