More highly useful updates from someone else:

I would say that the free book you posted (https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/paulmck/perfbook/perfbook.2017.01.02a.pdf) probably over-complicates things. It may be useful just as a general reference, but it doesn’t have much about the built-in thread library in C++11.

Again, I would avoid ‘Professional Multicore Programming’ as it was released before C++11. In my opinion there’s absolutely no need for using POSIX threads or any other third-party concurrency library now that we have the built-in one.
I haven’t read ‘C++ Concurrency in Action’, but it looks like a great book about concurrency in C++11.
There are loads of tutorials online as well such as http://baptiste-wicht.com/categories/c%2B%2B11-concurrency-tutorial.html and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL8wkskDlbs&list=PL5jc9xFGsL8E12so1wlMS0r0hTQoJL74M
Big thanks to all!

Parallel task library for C++ with Windows

This is Windows centric but could be useful for those building high speed trading systems on Windows

Remember that I don’t recommend Windows at this point

Is this possible? .NET is back?

I am sure there is something out there done in other non Microsoft technologies (don’t worry I am sticking to my plan)

I have posted a detail series of next step I intend to take with deploying a live trading systematic model using code generation from Matlab Simulink to hopefully a fully automated trading C++ enabled system.

Yes I have come down to the selection of C++ with Matlab to enable this deployment with Oanda as the chosen broker for simple forex trading!
