Highest paying programming languages for 2017 are these

Hi << Test First Name >>,

What are the highest paying programming languages? There was a list of put out on Medium.com. It seem there are no surprises of the legacy languages like Java, C++/C, Python, and others. Some newer languages are coming up but I can only focus a on a few. The ones I mentioned are primary ones for high speeding trading needs. Also, you will note in my podcast/video that I do not have any preferences for Microsoft .NET languages but they are a commodity so the other languages are higher paying.

Check out the list here.

What does it mean popular programming languages?

What does it mean popular programming languages?

From my perspective, I would only use Python (for ease of use), C++ (for low latency high speed), Java (only for useful legacy software and IB interaction), Matlab (for all the above but integrates with everything).

I will be dumping all things Microsoft including .NET due to unreliable and poor performance thanks to Windows 10

Expert Insider thoughts on low latency programming trading languages

Expert Insider thoughts on low latency programming trading languages like C C++

Java vs Python

So many people want to build these high frequency trading systems but personally I think they’re learning from the wrong people. I am very lucky to have people who have contributed
to my own knowledge to know the right way and a wrong way to develop these trading systems. If you followed me for a while, you know who exactly I’m referring to. If you don’t know
who I’m referring to, let’s just say they’re making more then your family for the next 20 generations will ever make. Fortunately he was able to give me a solid advice and probably the best
advice I’ve ever heard regarding all these programming languages.

I also find it quite preposterous how these old school trading gurus claim they are pumping out well to do traders. To me, that is utter garbage, if you’re confident with your trading audience
or community you would easily allow third-party analysts to to measure their income. It is to showcase who is making bank! if they are, then you would showcase it. Wouldn’t you? Well guess
what? I do that with a service called Quantcast. At my last check, 40% of my trading audience makes over $150,000. Let me stress this: it is verified by Quantcast!

I made a video on this so check it out here

If you want the most affordable way to achieve these goals (remember verified), I would strongly recommend you to look up my new annual Quant Elite Membership.

All trading programming language roads lead to C C++

All trading programming language roads lead to C C++

It seems that all programming languages for automated trading lead to C/C++. After my foray into various environments like R, Matlab, and tiny bit of Python, everything wants to have the same performance as C or C++. I have addressed my concerns of privacy/security from Windows to move to something like Linux or OSX. Yesterday my breakthrough of using C++ with the Interactive Brokers POSIX C++ API, this changes everything. See the video below. After my recent Meetup event of how C++ on Linux is the standard, I just decided to start focusing in this arena instead of the prototyping languages of R or Matlab. It seems to make sense to go back to the old days of compiling instead of looking for a strategy in a prototyping environment. It eventually needs to be deployed into a LIVE trading environment built in something like C++. After my programming Meetup webinar I did last Monday, it seems the pros have agreed on this thought. Many shops will hand code any working trading idea from the prototyping language to the target language which is usually C++. The question becomes, why a one person team like myself would use these prototyping languages. It seems I may need to stay focused on the end target language like C++ in Linux. I will eventually want to get these any ways.  This might be productive for me so let me know what you think.

What programming languages acommonly quant?

Another one but old as usual . You will find most say C++ which is #1 but I do think MATLAB is most widely used for prototyping/research. Let me know what you think via Facebook.

Leading programming languages for a quant?

So what are the leading programming languages for a quant?

My choices are simple for C#/.NET, Matlab, C/C++, and Java. Each has its pros and cons. When do discover Matlab can call Python, it is still leading environment for rapid trading idea development.

Note that this articles is very old from a programming perspective, Python developer are jumping ship to Go and Julia because of the splintering in the language. Not only that, don’t think these alternatives will be any better, they won’t be. There is also a reason why HFT shops stay clear of it to stick with pretty well Matlab and C/C++.
