Out of 502 trades since Aug, I analyzed this of comparing the weighted average (of BCH, BTC, LTC, ETC, ETH) against individual profit and loss of each trade.

New trading rule gets established to not even consider a trade when the weighted average is < 0.

Note that I have also noted that when a coins goes negative, you need to temporarily ban it from being traded. I have found this pattern 3 times this week.
