Mouse and keyboard automation using Python package

(Last Updated On: January 10, 2020)

This Python package is considered to open new MotiveWave charts and apply templates of studies on them. This is a very valid comment for some of the drawbacks of Motivewave. As a result, I am hoping this Python package can help with this solution to at least open chart and apply templates automatically.

Looked into directwave. it is a fantastic charting and trading tool. And the fact that it can use java is great. But if you are building your own strategy, there are shortcomings with coding your strategy.
1 The API is good but does not have access to extend or create a combination of other indicators or strategies that are already built-in. It seems like a huge waste given you will need to build everything from scratch. The ones in the series like MA are way too basic. Ninja trader has access to use other indicators and strategies within a coded composite, letting you build complex ones pretty quickly.

  1. If they could provide a market scanner API, which can trigger/launch a strategy, it will be the best there will be, but it does not have that connection.
  2. They are missing hotlists, which are the data provider scanner list. I know you can build your own scanner filter but given most provide this list they should at least provide it.
