NEW Breed of coder and math trader with PhD

New breed of coder and math trader with PhD on Wall St

The QuantConnect Facebook group had an interesting article reviewing how a new generation of algo traders with PhD’s who are coders are taking over the banking industry. From my standpoint, this is happening much faster than originally anticipated. Should you worry if I was a HUMAN retail trader? I am not sure on that from your point of view but from my point of you, I would say a DEFINITE yes!

Introduction to Volatility Trading

As we had a fully packed house last night on Sholom’s “Introduction to Volatility” online Meetup, we unfortunately had some Internet disconnection interruptions. As a result, this video was somewhat cut off. As a result, I have temporarily posted these two RAW videos for my Quant Elite members. I am hoping to have someone probably edit this video which will get hopefully posted on Sholom’s YouTube channel. Please be patient with this.

Go here if you’re interested in immediate access to these videos

Sholom may have some other interesting topics that will be very helpful for all so please hold tight for future presentations

Thanks for reading

About caustic

Hi i there My name is Bryan Downing. I am part of a company called QuantLabs.Net This is specifically a company with a high profile blog about technology, trading, financial, investment, quant, etc. It posts things on how to do job interviews with large companies like Morgan Stanley, Bloomberg, Citibank, and IBM. It also posts different unique tips and tricks on Java, C++, or C programming. It posts about different techniques in learning about Matlab and building models or strategies. There is a lot here if you are into venturing into the financial world like quant or technical analysis. It also discusses the future generation of trading and programming Specialties: C++, Java, C#, Matlab, quant, models, strategies, technical analysis, linux, windows P.S. I have been known to be the worst typist. Do not be offended by it as I like to bang stuff out and put priorty of what I do over typing. Maybe one day I can get a full time copy editor to help out. Do note I prefer videos as they are much easier to produce so check out my many video at youtube.com/quantlabs
