I keep seeing these stories:
Tim Cook, chief executive officer of Apple Inc., speaks during the Apple World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, California, U.S.

Apple Inc.’s Chief Executive Officer and the director of the National Security Agency squared off on Monday in a debate over how much access technology companies should afford U.S. intelligence agencies.

I personally would not even believe Apple at all on this but still prefer them or even Linux over Windows. Here is a scary article to make you think twice:

If in 2016, there is a Republican president I think this will be an ongoing problem so we need think twice a year from now. Also, I think Aunt Hillary as president will be no different so these backdoor mandatory laws will take effect. I hope to be overseas in a few years  where I don’t need to worry about this stuff.

Go Mac or Linux for now. As usual the subpar trading broker API I use (interactive Brokers) forces me to stay on Windows for now but I am looking at alternatives. You don’t see them fighting like Apple.

The question is why is Microsoft so quiet on this topic?
