Is VIX volatility coming for Greek default or Fed rate hike

In this video, I am trying to figure out if this is the correct way to forecast potential volatility in coming weeks to months. Is this the correct way to forecast it

This is using Yahoo Finance option chain data on the calls. As it all points negative and this is a correct methodology, would it not suggest there is no volatility in S&P 500 in coming weeks to month?
