Whoa. Â Horseshoes are up my butt I got the shells for Erlang and Scala working on this new Ubuntu Linux environment
While good luck on our side, I thought I would take a chance to install Elrang and Scala.
For Erland try: http://askubuntu.com/questions/190612/how-to-install-erlang-in-ubuntu-12-04
sudo apt-get install erlang erlang-doc
To run, just use erl.
For Scala http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Scala/Setup
sudo apt-get install scala
scala-doc
I got both shells working. Now the IDEs, but I prefer Netbeans over Eclipse but that is personal

Some also Intellij but whatever (story to be continued in a few months) once get better at these things:

NOTE I now post my TRADING ALERTS into my personal FACEBOOK ACCOUNT and TWITTER. Don't worry as I don't post stupid cat videos or what I eat!
