Is this quantum tunneling for quant trading all fluff or the real deal?

A response from newsletter subscriber:

Quantum tunneling is a measurable effect of particles taking leaps not allowed by the mechanics of classical physics. The math used to describe these ‘quantum leaps’ will not likely aid you in assessing the stock market or measure the effect of public demand on a stock price. I’ve wrote my own trading algorithms that do involve some concepts from physics so I won’t say with 100% confidence that it doesn’t work or won’t apply here. However,  I’d like to caution you that this sounds very likely to be bogus buffed up with some fancy sounding ideas. The key to ever using physics concepts and equations to asses the market is in how you view the market and as what sort of system. I hope that helps.
