Here are the fastest ways to learn Matlab for your university course project
So this just came in..
Hi Bryan, First of all, awesome website. I am not that interested in HFT or quant finance right now but I do need some advice and help. I am currently undertaking a Empirical Finance research paper. I need a really quick crash course in Matlab that will allow me to learn how to clean financial data, forming portfolios of stocks into quintiles, running factor models and regressions such as Fama-Macbeth regressions and 4 factor models and also if possible, how to make and interpret charts and coefficients. Anything quantlabs can offer or any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Kind Regards, Thanksfully, this did not turn into 'can you do my homework' My first piece of advise is to learn Matlab fast is learn is through the Webinars from Mathworks. They are quite useful. http://www.mathworks.com/company/events/webinars/ This is the best way to learn FAST! Just maybe do a usual Matlab search with Google but add the webinar at the end. You should find something. Another way is post your queries on Matlab Central but I am sure they get these sort of questions all the time so becareful. If no dice on either end, try StackOverflow.com Hope this helpsNOTE I now post my TRADING ALERTS into my personal FACEBOOK ACCOUNT and TWITTER. Don't worry as I don't post stupid cat videos or what I eat!
