A query from a visitot to the site.

Since you gave up on Multicharts (lack of API doc) and Tradestation (lack of 3rd party data feed and brokerage support), I wanted to let you know that Tradestation does have the ability to use 3rd party data feeds and send trades to any broker via these 2 components:

OpenData includes support for dozens of feeds including IB, iQfeed, etc:

http://www.multicharts.com/tradestation/

TradeBullet will route your orders anywhere, e.g. IB, from Tradestation:

http:/www.tradebullet.com

If you go the Tradestation route you will have  the API docs, customer support,  very rich trade-centric programming language (Easylanguage), plus a huge community of developers.

I for one would be very interested in learning how to create and import HFT C++ DLLs from MatLab into Tradestation.

Good luck,

Tradestation and these other retail platforms will never be HFT ready. They only allow one instance of it running where something like my Tradestation open source allows me to run as many instances at once I want. This is called scalability. Tradestation has a commercial license which limits this.

Also, Easy Language is a language I would not want to work with due to it being proprietary and not open like .NET C# or C++.

As a result, I don’t think I will go down this path unless it is like a Deltix platform.

NOTE I now post my TRADING ALERTS into my personal FACEBOOK ACCOUNT and TWITTER. Don't worry as I don't post stupid cat videos or what I eat!
