Slow Marketcetera HFT trading platform. Potential Solution Bridge for FIX 8 project and open source HFT ready Tradelink
This was a question that came up through Youtube:
While searching for marketcetera, I came across this:
Apparently, the open-source version of marketcetera is limited to 60ms order execution latency times through fix. The commercial version is said to be optimized and is thus much faster.
Given that tradelink, which is supposedly an hft ready platform with ultra-low-latency, doesn’t even have fix integration, I would be cautious. The developers tend to overstate the capabilities of the platform. It doesn’t have millisecond time-stamp capture, nor does it have an event processing system, either.
Let’s say you succeed in building a fix connector, what if it is unoptimized and thus results in similar high latency times?
MY response is:

This could discuss the potential integration of Tradelink and FIX8.FACEBOOK ACCOUNT and TWITTER. Don't worry as I don't post stupid cat videos or what I eat!
