Someone’s opinion on Matlab Coder Toolbox code generation process to C++ for custom HFT purposes. Is Simulink better?

Throug Linked In, I got this response from a earlier posting today:

You Wrote: NOTE: I am looking into using C++ directly without this potential code generation process. It may be faster in an odd and unoriginal way. YOu could say I would use these Matlab M source files as the roadmap. Believe me, I am very disappointed in this whole process but what can you do?

>> Hand coding the C++ is always a good idea, since I doubt Matlab can optimize as well as good C++ guy can. Matlab C++ code generation should be used as a basic framework on how the code should be structured. Those are my two cents for whatever their worth 🙂

Believe me, I am someone frustrated but remember this is a very difficult process for Mathworks to achieve to code generate. Also, it seems it will be useful for simple M files. I do hopemy experience with Matlab Simulink and Simulink is a better code generation process.
