Great article. Thank you, Malvin. It is always a pleasure to read your posts. You are discussing a very important and urgent subject in my view.
There is too much bureaucracy developed around the processes and not much effort is focused on effectiveness of the outcomes. Never mind efficiency, that has never been a virtue of any system of any sort, not that I know of, anyway.
I like your ten commandments reference. Not sure about the stoning subject, though, -those are the deeds of the past.

I appreciate your kind remarks.. Unfortunately, there are still severe punishments (stoning and worse) in many countries around the world. The Koran and the Bible condemn such things, but religion has historically been flexible about some matters and dogmatic about others.
You are right. I was referring to Judaism, as you mentioned the Ten Commandments. Although, there are some sorts of extremes everywhere.
