Are these prop shops from big investment banks the best to start a quant career in?
Another post from one of my Linked In groups:
With the knowledge that there is not “the” best rather suitable ones for different individuals, I wo
uld love to get some insight into various corporate cultures that are more nurturing to a quant career.
I am very interested in pursuing a career as a quant trader utilizing algo-trading strategies.
Although I might not have the credentials, I am willing to work diligently to obtain them gradually.
That being said. Here is some result based on my research.
1. JP Morgan Chase–Highbridge Division
2. Morgan Stanley– Process Driven Trading
3. Goldman Sachs– Quantitative Investment Strategies
5. Bridgewater Associate
6. Citadel (multi strategy)
, it seems AES provides execution services for Algo-trading strategies rather than trading its own money.
credit suisse does have algo enabled proprietary trading, not sure if AES is linked to that or not.
