Introducing my flag and pennant technical pattern for automated crypto currency trading

There are a number of corrections I believe in this script but I am unsure of the importance of these pattern (s) since they are quite rare anyhow. So why continue? Why even bother trying to develop for wedges as well?

In summary; Should I abandon both flag/pennants and wedges patterns. They are tough to program and plot among other reasons listed.

Here are the links from the video:

https://www.investopedia.com/university/charts/charts6.asp

https://www.babypips.com/learn/forex/pennants

https://www.babypips.com/forexpedia/flags

Note:

In the last 3 minutes of this video is a new segment which shows the improvement of how I define a bull or bear flag. Also, you need to measure the trend before the pattern so I used 10 candle/bars before the pattern forms as a test. Just remember I allocated 20 candles/bars to allow the completion of  the flag or pennant  pattern. It should  at least show there is consolidation in the price of at least 20 bars. These programming conditions hopefully are correct to reflect the right pattern with expected price direction.

There seems to be a strange anomaly in the code where patterns form sometime in early April. I am unsure if it this is weird bug on the Binance data servers or in my programming script.

As the way it goes, I am not even sure if these patterns really matter since they are quite rare to capture.

I decided to refer to the Matlab Technical Analysis toolbox for which might be considered some of the really reliable indicators. As revealed in the video, it was shown how the one I was relying on (regression) was just too choppy which threw off my strategy closing on exit. As this video shows, I try a variety of indicators to see which ones ‘visually’ made sense with no latency on the pricing direction. In other words, could the indicator keep up with fast moving price changes at low time frames? The video shows what I found.

As a result, I may scrap this strategy to try another approach starting next week. Yes, nearly 2 months were wasted but I have definitely found my techniques to properly assess a trading strategy potential under development. This means no time was ever wasted at all as I gathered some precious skills that I am sure any unprofitable retail traders will argue.

As always, you kind my two courses listed below that helped me get to this point using Dukascopy Jforex.

Thanks Bryan

P.S. More technical indicators will be used testing with results to come soon!

There seems to be no spread or volume different when testing popular pairs vs volatile

Posted to my Telegram private group:

Here are my tests so far for a late friday EDT. for dukascopy, the 2 most volatile pairs (e.g. ZARJPY and USDZAR) vs more popular pairs like EURUSD and USDJPY have the similar spread cost and volume is very similar across the board. This is all within Dukascopy. I will have a video posted later today on it. I think I may need to retest on a Weds afternoon to see if there is a differennce but I wanted to test this thoery on random trading day with no news shocks.

Most reliable trading technical indicator you used

Most reliable trading technical indicator ever used

What are the most reliable technical indicator strategies that you’ve seen? Most technicians are really just chart chasers looking for past market opportunity. From the inside professionals I’ve seen, they only use indicators like moving average or trend line. These are just to confirm exit positions. But alas we have our usual videos to showcase something else what less successful retail traders use.
Check it out here
As I am finishing up my Federal Reserve analysis, I can confidently say I will be one of the rare analysts that showcase the current real-time debt situation of the US government. This gives you a better insight into how the US dollar will perform against other currencies. As I keep dropping hints, it seems to me that this new Quant Analytical Pro service will be very helpful for active traders. Once again you will not need to be a technical guru to understand these data points. If you got questions about it let me know so that I can post it on my frequently asked questions area of my website.
As I have strongly been hinting, current sections of my Quant Elite membership will be eventually dropped in coming months. I cannot stress the importance of some of the gems that I have highlighted in this section.
